Scania was founded in 1900 in Malmö (Sweden) as Maskinfabriksaktiebolaget Scania, initially making bicycles before moving into motor vehicles. In 1911 it merged with Vabis to form Scania-Vabis, the company that scaled up the production of trucks and buses.
The brand's engine development moved forward with milestones such as its first diesel engine in 1936, direct injection in 1949 and turbocharging in 1960, innovations that established Scania as a leading manufacturer in European heavy transport.
Today, Scania engines power trucks, buses and industrial machinery in nearly 100 countries, recognised for their solidity and low fuel consumption in long-duration work.
At Fuentes Global Parts we supply parts for trucks and equipment powered by Scania engines. If your vehicle needs a brake, drivetrain, chassis or engine part, get in touch.
