Volvo Penta's origins go back to 1868, with a Swedish foundry in Skövde. In 1907 the factory produced its first marine engine, the B1, and around 1916 the name "Penta" was born. Volvo bought the company in 1935 and Volvo Penta has been part of the Volvo Group ever since.
Throughout its history, Volvo Penta has introduced major innovations in the marine sector, such as sterndrive propulsion and, in 2005, the IPS system with counter-rotating propellers, designed to improve the efficiency and manoeuvrability of boats.
Its engines are used both in marine applications (inboard, outboard and propulsion systems) and in industrial machinery and power generation.
At Fuentes Global Parts we work with parts and engines for equipment powered by Volvo Penta, in both marine and industrial applications. If your boat or machinery has a Volvo Penta engine and you need spare parts, contact us.
